Folding Impellers (Folding blade Turbine)

Folding impellers find their primary application in mixing scenarios where accessing the vessel is restricted, commonly observed with 1000 Liter or 2000 Liter IBC totes. The folding tote impeller design is essentially derived from the pitch blade turbine impeller concept, with the blades designed to fold downward against the shaft when not in operation. This folding mechanism permits the impeller and shaft to be inserted and withdrawn through a screw cap typically located on tote tops. Verito’s innovative design enables the impeller to glide along the shaft for adjustments. The folded diameter ranges from 150 mm to 200 mm. This design combines radial and axial flow, generating intense shear forces, and delivering excellent mixing capabilities, all while allowing for easy setup and removal.
